The launch of the BlackBerry Storm, plus a promotional spot for the BlackBerry Curve, the iPhone managed to unseat the top of the list of best-selling smartphones in the U.S., and quarterly sales ranking of smartphone was as follows:
1. BlackBerry Curve (83xx all models)
2. iPhone 3G (8 and 16 Gb)
3. BlackBerry Storm
4. BlackBerry Pearl (all models except the BlackBerry Pearl Flip)
5. HTC T-Mobile G1
BlackBerry smartphones to lead sales and falling to almost 50% of the market is obvious, but the iPhone starts to lose strength after so much effort, is what attracts attention. The image says it all:

Another interesting fact that emerges from this study by NPD Group is the growth market of smart phones in the United States. Already 23% of the total cellular market grew nearly 30% compared to 17% it enjoyed in the same quarter last year.
